Promotion quality assurance

The Deals Operating System

One intake row. Sixteen checks. One verdict.

The problem

A promotion can look ready while using the wrong regular price, missing an agreement, or failing a readiness check. Fixing the arithmetic alone may not make it ready to launch.

The solution

I built a promotion QA workflow that keeps the submitted deal next to its checks and verdict. The workbook groups sixteen checks across identity, price, policy, timing, and readiness, so the reason for a blocked deal stays visible.

The verdict follows the checks

Fail

A failed check blocks the deal.

Warn

With no failures, a warning keeps the decision with a person.

Pass / N/A

A check that did not apply stays separate from a passed check.

The workflow

Open the walkthrough to follow an intake row through the workbook and its sixteen checks.

Try the live price example. Compare the submitted regular price with the system value and correct the price calculation.

Watch the verdict change. Correct prices can clear failures while a policy warning still requires review.

The browser example recalculates the price, category-cap, and margin checks; the remaining checks retain the selected deal’s recorded states. The workbook uses modelled company and product records.

A conversation is a good place to start.
