This page is what I found: what already works, twelve fixes with the evidence behind them, a title linter run on all 59 live listings, a photo standard, a rewritten listing, and how I'd run the pull → clean → photograph → list line from day one.

What works

Start from what's already right

The store has the hard things in place: trust, a clean photo look, and real part numbers. The fixes below are about getting more buyers to find and believe each listing.

100% positive feedback across 2.3K items sold, 30-day returns with the seller paying return shipping, and 24-hour handling.

A consistent photo look

White sweep, the ICR mark in the corner, and a close-up of the nameplate — the label shot is exactly what a technician checks first.

Real identifiers

Titles lead with brand and model and carry the controller; parts carry the manufacturer part number and an MPN item specific.

Webstore structured data

Product pages publish Product schema with MPN, price, stock, RefurbishedCondition, and a 30-day return policy — a solid SEO foundation.

Local fulfillment

Listings ship from Warren (the pendant I checked quoted 2–4 day delivery), and the webstore offers same-day shipping on in-stock parts ordered by 1 PM.

A buyer spending $3,500 on a pendant wants proof it works and to know what the warranty covers. When the title, the condition, and the description say three different things, the buyer either messages and waits, or buys elsewhere — and a sale made on a mismatch can come back as “not as described.”

Technicians search the way the nameplate or the manual reads, and plenty type it without the hyphen. A listing shouldn't depend on the search engine guessing that “R-2000iB” and “R2000iB” are the same robot. Inconsistent naming also makes the store look like it was listed by five different people.

Fix

A naming convention: Brand + official model + type + official controller, then the no-hyphen variant where space allows (e.g. FANUC R-2000iB/210F Industrial Robot Arm w/ R-30iA Controller R2000iB 210F). Linter + rewrites →

Serial numbers are using space that buyers' search words should get

Nobody searches a serial number before they know it exists. Meanwhile the words buyers do type — “industrial robot arm,” “Yaskawa” for Motoman, payload, application — are missing. The serial already sits in the nameplate photo, which is the right place for it.

Fix

Move serials to an item specific and the label photo; spend the space on search terms. The UP6 becomes Yaskawa Motoman UP6 Industrial Robot Arm w/ XRC Controller UP-6 6-Axis (70/80).

Asterisks and all caps read as noise

Symbols don't match any search and cost characters. “Refurbished” already exists as eBay's condition filter, so it earns its place in the title only as a plain word. Mixed case with correct model spelling (R-30iB, not R30IB) is easier to scan in a results page full of shouting titles.

Fix

Plain words (“Tested with Warranty”, “Refurbished”), brand-first, official capitalization. The linter below flags every case automatically.

Part numbers disagree inside the same title

Part-number buyers search the exact catalog string from their nameplate. One dropped character is a missed match — and a tech comparing the title to the drive in front of them will hesitate on a $9,499.95 purchase.

Fix

Copy part numbers from the label photo, not from memory, keep a space on both sides, and run a QA check before publishing. The linter flags repeated words, glued part numbers, and spaced-vs-joined part numbers that don't match.

Item specifics drive eBay's search filters and the “compatible with” questions buyers ask. With three fields, the listing can't show up when a buyer filters by type, model, or controller.

For a tested electronic part, a photo of it booted on ICR's test stand is the most persuasive image in the listing — it proves the “tested” claim without a word. More angles also answer questions before buyers have to ask.

Next to competitors' pure-white thumbnails, a gray, slightly cool background looks dimmer in search results. It's a two-step fix that can be batched across every photo.

Fix

A technician replacing a failed unit often matches the full article number including the revision, and ABB prints it with a space — so both forms get typed into search.

Title carries 3HNE00442-1/05 and 3HNE 00442-1; revision goes into item specifics too.

Maintenance teams buy pendants, motors, amplifiers, boards and cables every week; whole robots sell a few times a year. A robot that isn't moving can become a dozen listings once it's pulled and disassembled — which is exactly the work this role describes.

Someone searching “FANUC P-155 wrist” doesn't see those words in the page title, and a typed hyphen doesn't match an en dash. The empty test field looks unfinished on a $9,000 item — the Product schema underneath is already excellent, so this is copy, not code.

Fix

Title: FANUC P-155 Wrist Assembly EO-0833-010, Refurbished | ICR. Description of ~150 characters with condition, test, warranty and same-day shipping. Fill the test method or hide the field when empty.

Fix
