Wheelchair, ambulatory and long-distance medical transport

Four services, one standard of care. Every trip is door to door, every driver is trained for medical passengers, and every vehicle in the fleet is 2018 or newer.

Wheelchair transport

Hydraulic ramps, four-point securement and specialized vans for passengers who travel seated in their own chair.

Ambulatory rides

Door-to-door assistance for seniors who can walk but want a steady hand from the front door to the exam room.

Hospital discharge

Same-day pickups when a discharge time moves. Comfortable, unhurried rides home after a procedure or a long stay.

Airport shuttle

Ashford Hills Regional Airport (AHR) pickups and drop-offs with luggage assistance and wheelchair-accessible vehicles on request.

Stretcher transport

For passengers who need to travel lying flat, moved by a team trained in safe transfers.

Wheelchair transport

Hydraulic ramps, four-point securement and specialized vans for passengers who travel seated in their own chair.

Our wheelchair-accessible vans take manual and power chairs up to standard sizes. The driver secures the chair at four points before the vehicle moves, and stays with you from your front door to the clinic door. Bariatric and oversized chairs are welcome — tell dispatch when you book so we send the right vehicle.

Ambulatory rides

Door-to-door assistance for seniors who can walk but want a steady hand from the front door to the exam room.

Most of our ambulatory passengers walk perfectly well at home and simply do not want to manage steps, ice, a walker and a waiting room on their own. The driver meets you at the door, carries what needs carrying, and walks you in. Walkers, canes and portable oxygen all travel with you at no extra charge.

Hospital discharge

Same-day pickups when a discharge time moves. Comfortable, unhurried rides home after a procedure or a long stay.

Discharge times slip — we plan for it. Give dispatch the ward and the expected time and we will hold the slot, then confirm with the nurse before we roll. If a passenger needs to travel lying flat or with equipment, tell us at booking so the right vehicle is assigned.

Thornbury Metro runs on its own clock, so we build in the buffer. Wheelchair-accessible vehicles are available on request, luggage is handled for you, and the driver walks you to the check-in desk or meets you at baggage claim rather than dropping you at a curb.

Stretcher transport

For passengers who need to travel lying flat, moved by a team trained in safe transfers.

Some passengers cannot sit up for a journey. Our stretcher service moves them between home, hospital, rehabilitation and long-term care, handled by staff trained in handicap, stretcher and elderly transportation. This is still non-emergency transport — for a life-threatening emergency, call 911.
