Service zones and how a Larkspur Mobility quote is built
We run out of Thornbury across three zones. What you pay depends on the zone, the time of day and live traffic — and you see the number before you commit, never after.
Zone 1 — within 20 miles of Thornbury
Ashford Hills, Milbrook, Rosedale, Northgate, Bellmont and the rest of the near suburbs. Both ambulatory and wheelchair vehicles available. Standard rates.
Zone 2 — beyond 20 miles
Fairview, Cedar Falls, Brookhaven and outlying Ohio. Wheelchair-accessible vehicles only, with adjusted rates that account for travel and dead miles.
Zone 3 — long distance, 150+ miles
Long-distance transportation of 150 miles or more — Coldwater Junction to Fairview, or across state lines to reach a specific hospital or specialist. Specialty rates, quoted per trip.
What moves the price
- Which zone the trip starts and ends in
- Time of day — peak hours cost more
- Live traffic and congestion on the route
- Dead miles on a long one-way return
- Wheelchair vs ambulatory vehicle
- Whether a return leg is booked at the same time
Cancellation & no-show policy
- Cancel 24 hours or more ahead and there is no charge at all.
- Inside 24 hours, a flat $40 cancellation fee applies in every zone.
- If the passenger isn't ready within 15 minutes of arrival, the zone's minimum service charge applies.
Cards & checks
Debit, credit and checks accepted for any trip.
Insurance invoicing
Medicaid often covers NEMT; Medicare may under certain circumstances. We invoice insurers and managed care plans where they allow it.
Facility billing
Care coordinators, senior living and discharge planners can be invoiced directly.
