Who is asking, and a first job, sized small

This page holds two rows of the Cutover Check site: who is asking (Row 006) and a first job, sized small (Row 007). The demonstration, the decision, the code and the contact details are on the Cutover Check page.

Row 006Who is asking

I’m the person who gets the call when a record is wrong.

I’m Mousa Batarseh, a web and e-commerce developer in Warren, Michigan. Since 2019 I have built and run stores on Shopify, WooCommerce and WordPress, usually as the only web person in the company. That is where the habit on this page comes from: I check the data before it ships.

What has run against a real store

  • Admin API, against a live store. The sync on this page created the 412 products and 1,186 variants in a real Shopify store, and every one of the ten migration scenarios is introduced, detected, fixed and reset on those records.
  • A theme built from scratch. The New Store is an Online Store 2.0 theme I wrote, published on that store, passing Theme Check, with every section editable in the theme editor.
  • Both platforms, one design. The WooCommerce and Shopify storefronts share one design system, and each product carries the same photographs on both, synced through the APIs.

Row 007A first job, sized small

One migration, one question.

This is a proposal, not a quote. It is the smallest piece of work that would tell you whether I am useful.

The question
Is this migration’s data ready to cut over? Asked of one migration you have in flight or coming up.
What I need
The source export and the target export, or read access to the development store. The field mapping, if one is written down.
What you get
The reconciliation as a workbook, with every flagged record, the reason and the action. A redirect map built from reconciled records, in Shopify’s import format. A one-page gate summary your team can read in two minutes.
Included
Products, variants, prices, SKUs, handles and the metafields you map. Collections too, with checks I would write for them. A second run after fixes.
Not included
Customers and orders, theme work, app configuration. Each is a separate conversation.
How to judge it
Did it find anything your spot-check did not? If it did not, you have a second opinion that agrees with yours.
Terms
Hourly contract, remote from Michigan on Eastern time, available now.
