Introduction · Cutover Check
Three websites, one migration check
Cutover Check compares an old WooCommerce store with a new Shopify store, record by record, and says whether the data is ready to cut over.
This site has three parts: the Cutover Check page, which runs the comparison; the Old Store, the WooCommerce catalog the data comes from; and the New Store, the Shopify catalog it goes to.
Placeholder The final website and storefront addresses are not supplied yet.

What this is
Cutover Check is a working WooCommerce-to-Shopify migration check, built the way I would build one for a client. It compares a real WooCommerce store with a real Shopify store, record by record, and says whether the data is ready to cut over.
How to move through it
- Cutover Check: start here. Run the demo, flip a migration decision and watch the findings, the redirect map and the gate change.
- Old Store (WooCommerce): the catalog the data comes from: 412 products and 1,186 variants.
- New Store (Shopify): the same catalog after migration. The two stores share one design with a slightly different colour, and the banner on every page links to the matching page in the other store.
- Try a checkout: both stores take test orders. No real money is charged.
- Read the code: each store banner has a code sample to download.
How it was made
A custom WordPress theme and a custom Shopify theme, working together through a custom plugin. The plugin reads both catalogs, runs the ten migration scenarios against the real records and syncs products and photographs through the Shopify Admin API. The WordPress side is built in Elementor and the Shopify theme in Online Store 2.0, so every page can be edited in each platform’s own editor.
