Method
- Modeled. Lakeshift Coffee Co., its nineteen facts, the as-found listing, the six SKUs, the scores, the tracker and the monitoring rows. No real brand's pages were audited. A web search found no coffee brand named Lakeshift.
- Checked. Retailer rules were last checked on October 10, 2026. Several pages were first read through a summarizing tool, so each source gets opened again before anything is published. A rule older than 90 days gets re-checked before I rely on it.
- Not verified. Target's current rules (portal-only), Walmart's supplier style guides (behind a login), which characters Walmart counts as special, and whether Amazon's January 2025 character rules still apply under the 2026 notice.
- Rubric. Fourteen checks, scored 0 to 2, in five areas weighted 25, 20, 25, 15 and 15. The weights and the band cut-offs (80 and 50) are my judgment. It measures content condition, not sales. As found: 15.83, shown as 16. Draft: 88.75, shown as 89.
- Priorities. Shopper impact × evidence ÷ effort, each scored 1 to 3. Evidence is 3 for a published retailer rule, 2 for a retailer recommendation, 1 for a hypothesis.
- Counting. Characters are counted the way the retailers count them, spaces included, in the page itself and again by the workbook's formulas. The two must agree before anything is published.
Product markup for the brand's own site
This is the one place a brand controls its own markup. On a retailer's page, the retailer does. Every value below would also have to be visible on the page it sits on. There are no offers, ratings or reviews because none exist.
