Mousa BatarsehBlueroot Health review Résumé
Independent review · fairhavenhealth.com + 3 sister stores · Sep 28, 2026

Four stores.Onechecklist.

An independent review of Blueroot Health's direct-to-consumer storefronts for the DTC Operations Manager role. I read fairhavenhealth.com in full and sampled bariatricfusion.com, vitalnutrients.co and unjury.com — 397 published products, 57 page fetches, no logins. Fairhaven's public-page baseline is the strongest I have measured this year. The six findings below are the operating gaps a weekly QA sheet catches: empty footer collections, a sold-out product in the #2 slot sitewide, a 30%-off badge with no discounted price, facts panels that live only in JPGs, titles that truncate on every product page, and four stores with four sets of rules from one warehouse.

Why this review

Why Blueroot Health

The posting asks for someone who keeps four storefronts "accurate, performant and conversion-ready" with "a documented, repeatable operating cadence." I read the stores the way that person would on a Monday morning.

Everything here comes from public pages and Shopify's public product feeds — products.json, collections.json, the sitemaps. I evaluated structure, data and merchandising only. Health and product-claim language belongs to your regulatory review, and I left it alone.

What ships with this page. A workbook with the 29-check scorecard, the six findings with their evidence files, and the weekly QA sheet pre-filled with today's results — the cadence the posting describes, already running. Download the workbook.

First, what works

Three things the stores do well

Fairhaven scores 95 of 100 on the same public-page rubric I run on the ShelfMark Michigan index — it would rank first of the 21 stores there. That is the baseline the findings sit on.

Six findings

What a Monday check would catch

Each finding names the page, the count, the duty in the posting it maps to, and the fix. Evidence chips name the captured file behind the number.

Everything below runs on the numbers pulled from the stores on Sep 28, 2026 — not mock data. Each one is the Shopify change described in the finding, shown before and after.

    Collection health monitor

The Monday check: every collection the footer links to, with the count Shopify reports in collections.json and what the storefront actually renders. A footer link to zero buyable products is flagged. Below it, the full list of 42 published collections against a storefront of 32 products.

Rule: unpublish from the Online Store channel when the storefront count is 0 (the collection leaves the sitemap); repoint the footer link when a label promises products the collection no longer holds. Reported counts above 32 mean the collection still contains unpublished legacy items.

    Sold-out to the bottom

All 32 Fairhaven products in the order /collections/all shows them today (Alphabetically, A–Z), and the same list with sold-out items pushed last — the Search & Discovery setting. The search drawer's "Trending Now" shows the first three of whichever list is live.

    Promo consistency check

The five badged products across every place a price appears. Today the badge promises 30% off "select sizes" on single-variant products while the card, the PDP, the JSON-LD and the subscription widget all show full price. Switch to compare-at pricing and every column agrees — and Google's Merchant Center sees the same price the cart charges.

Launch check, in order: badge copy → card price → PDP price → JSON-LD → subscription price → cart total, on one badged PDP before go-live.

    Fix 4 · finding 4

    Facts panel as a table

A custom.supplement_facts metafield rendered as an HTML table inside the Ingredients accordion, next to the image the PDP shows today. Edit the JSON on the left and the table re-renders — this is the theme snippet. Row names below come from the product's own page text; amounts stay on the panel image until they are transcribed into the metafield, so none are typed in here.

    Title fitter

The 20 sampled product titles with their character counts, and a rewrite under 60 characters with the product first and the brand last. Pick a row to see how each renders in a search result.

    The one-page portfolio standard

What the four stores say today, in one table — the document the posting calls "a documented, repeatable operating cadence." Below it, the 28 SKUs sold on both bariatricfusion.com and unjury.com under two names, with one canonical title proposed for each (the more specific of the two; the store team picks).

    The scorecard

    fairhavenhealth.com on 29 public-page checks

The same rubric I run on ShelfMark, the Michigan Storefront Benchmark: findability, catalog, buy path, trust and content, scored 2 / 1 / 0 from what a public page shows. Open a pillar to read the evidence behind every score.

    About the reviewer

    Mousa Batarseh

Seven years running retail and wholesale storefronts in Metro Detroit: two textile and apparel brands on Shopify and WooCommerce in parallel, product setup and catalog data for 14,000+ SKUs, seasonal promo calendars, and the QA sheets that keep promotions and product pages honest. I build the checks first and the fixes second — this page is how I work, not a description of it.
