Three systems, one deal, five ways to say it.
Every one of Pure’s 355 live specials was created by the POS discount sync (createdBy: ArmageddonDiscountSync). That part works. What a shopper sees of them does not travel with the sync: 321 have no description, 90 carry counter shorthand in the name, 201 expire the day after capture, the site’s own “Deals” link is a 404, Weedmaps shows one or two cards per store with the rest typed into the listing text, and Leafly shows nothing: the three Pure profiles found are unclaimed and two stores have none.
What Dutchie is carrying this week.

These are shopper-facing card titles as captured, with a plain-language rewrite the sheet builder below produces automatically:
On the capture date, 201 of 355 specials ended the next day, and Dutchie’s specials page shows a countdown on each card. The pattern suggests a weekly cycle in which discounts are keyed in the POS and replaced; only the inventory team can confirm it. Nothing is wrong with the cycle; the cards just need descriptions and names written for the person reading them.
Where a Pure deal can appear, and what was there.
| Surface | Who writes it | What was there on 22 Oct |
|---|---|---|
| shoppure.com header “Deals” | WordPress template | Links to /stores//specials → 404 until a store is chosen. /deals and /specials → 404. No hand-maintained deals page exists. |
| Dutchie specials page (per store) | POS discount sync | 47 (Warren) to 111 (New Baltimore) cards; names and countdowns; 90% without a description. |
| Store menu banner text (per store) | Dutchie admin, typed | Dated blocks such as “DEALS 10/22-10/23” (Monroe), “PURE OXFORD DEALS 10/19-10/22” (Oxford, already past), “OCTOBER 22ND - 23RD DEALS … DEALS SUBJECT TO CHANGE” (New Baltimore), “BOGO 50% OFF ALL VIP DELI” (New Buffalo), the 8th/18th/28th free-eighth offer (Warren). |
| Weedmaps deal cards | Weedmaps admin, typed | 1–2 cards per store, always “30% OFF DELI + 40% OFF INFUSED HAPPY HOUR”; Monroe adds “2/$25 FLOWER OUNCES + ZOMBIE DEALS”, Oxford “50% OFF SNOWBALLS + SPOOKY LOW PRICES”. No dates or terms on the cards. |
| Weedmaps listing description | Weedmaps admin, typed | The dated deal lists (“October 22”, “DEALS 10/22”, “10/22 - 10/23”), happy-hour terms, Plug Pass, new-customer offers. Warren’s hours there (Fri–Sat to midnight) disagree with shoppure.com/locations (10 PM daily); New Baltimore’s listing gives two different closing times. |
| Leafly | Nobody (unclaimed) | Monroe, Oxford and New Baltimore profiles exist with “Hours unavailable”, no menu, “isn’t sharing any deals right now”. Warren and New Buffalo not found. |
| Loyalty page | WordPress | Headed “RE UP REWARDS”; the footer calls it “High Rollers Rewards”; the banner calls it “our *NEW* loyalty program”. No terms on the page; two footer links go to “#”. |
Weedmaps and Leafly observations come from the listing pages fetched on 22 Oct 2026; URLs are on the method page. Menu banner text from each store’s Dutchie page the same day.
How each platform runs deals.
Three different operating systems. Only one of them moves on its own.
- Created in: POS Backoffice → Marketing → Discounts → “Available on eCommerce”. Order, display name, description and image are set per discount there (“Customize menu design”).
- Sync: “Discount Sync V2” carries discounts with thresholds, bundles, brand/category/weight rules to the online menu; the e-commerce admin becomes view-only. Future-dated discounts show as “Pending”.
- Frequency stated: only inventory, 60 seconds (LeafLogix integration note). No stated interval for discounts.
- Shopper-facing text: whatever the discount’s menu display name and description say. Empty description → card shows name and countdown only. The countdown badge can be hidden by an admin toggle.
- Observed at Pure: all 355 specials
source: POS; 321 descriptions empty; the per-discount customisation is unused.
- Menu: an organisation-level object crawled from the POS “periodically” (Dutchie integration via API key, separate keys for med and rec). With an integrated menu, product edits must be made in the POS.
- Sale pricing vs Deals: POS auto-discounts can show as strikethrough prices only if Strikethrough Pricing is on. Deals are separate objects: title ≤ 32 characters, description ≤ 500 (terms go here; no separate field), image, online (promo code at checkout) or in-person (voucher), start/end dates, weekday schedule. Weedmaps promo codes do not transfer to Dutchie.
- Expiry: no fetched article states automatic removal of expired deals; deleting one erases its analytics.
- Observed at Pure: one card per store reused for the happy hour; the weekly deals typed into the description under a date header.
- Menu: Menu Manager connects to 30+ POS providers; synced fields are categories, pricing, item name, strain, brand, inventory, THC/CBD. Images and pickup settings are manual. No interval stated.
- Deals: Starter plans list deal posting as “Limited”, Pro as “Unlimited”. Leafly’s consumer disclaimer: deals apply to Leafly reservations and retailers can change or end them at any time.
- Help articles on creating deals returned a loading shell on 22 Oct and were not read.
- Observed at Pure: three unclaimed profiles, two missing. Until claimed, nothing Pure does reaches a Leafly shopper.
The operating rule that follows. The POS discount is the source. Dutchie’s card copy, the Weedmaps card, the Weedmaps description, the store banner and any page on shoppure.com are five hand-written copies of it. A deal sheet — one row per discount, with the shopper-facing name, the covered products, the price, the stores, the start and end, and the terms — is the only artefact that can keep five copies saying the same thing, because it is the one a person edits before any of the five.
Deal-sheet builder
Pick a store. Every current Dutchie special for it is listed with a plain-language rewrite of its name. Tick where each deal is also published, add a terms line where the card has none, and export the sheet. The exported file is the same shape as the “Deal sheet” tab of the workbook.
| Dutchie card name | Plain rewrite (editable) | Type | Ends (Detroit) | Terms (editable) | Also on |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Loading… | |||||
Ticks and edits stay in your browser. “Also on” is for your own check against Weedmaps, the store banner and a shoppure.com deals page; this study did not verify those per deal.
The weekly check.
Run the capture again (it is one script in the pack). The comparison answers four questions per store: which specials are new, which ended, which were renamed, and how many sheet rows no longer match a live special. The pass line is simple: every live special has a sheet row with a description and a plain name, and no surface shows a deal the sheet does not.
The check below runs the same special-level rules as the table above on the full capture so you can see what “pass” would look like today.
Deal-Page Accuracy: $450 per deals page, three business days.
Pure has no deals page of its own — the header link is a 404 — so the first deliverable is the page, built from one sheet. The $450 covers one deals page built from one deal sheet; Pure’s five stores would get a written quote first. What is included, exactly:
- A
/deals/page on shoppure.com, one structured list per store: deal name, products covered, price, stores, start and end dates, terms, generated from one approved deal sheet (the format exported above). - An accuracy check of every row against the live Dutchie specials and the Weedmaps cards and descriptions on a stated date and time; mismatches listed for Pure to fix in the POS or Weedmaps admin.
- Expired deals removed, every deal dated, a “last checked” stamp on the page, and the header “Deals” link pointed at it.
- A weekly update template (the same sheet) and a one-page how-to so staff can repeat it.
Not included: editing prices or discounts in the POS or in Dutchie (they are the source and need Pure’s admin), changes to the Dutchie widget, claiming the Leafly profiles (Pure must do that as the licensee), and compliance review of promotional claims — Michigan’s R 420.507(2) bars deceptive, false or misleading advertising, and that review stays with Pure’s counsel.
Terms: half up front, the balance on delivery; the three-day clock starts when the deal sheet and website access arrive. These are the terms of the published service.
- One deal sheet per store from the person who keys the POS discounts (or an export of this week’s discounts).
- An editor login to WordPress (not the owner’s) to create the page and change the header link.
- Read access to the Weedmaps listings (or screenshots) to check the cards and descriptions.
- A decision on the loyalty program’s name: “Re Up Rewards”, “High Rollers Rewards” or “Plug Pass” — the page cannot describe three.
How Pure would judge it: pick any 10 deals on the new page; each one is on the live Dutchie menu at the stated price, with the stated end date, on the stated day.
